Sabrina Barron, LMSW earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons University. As a psychotherapist in Upper west Side therapy group, Sabrina is passionate about helping clients reduce anxiety, build self-compassion, and feel more connected to themselves and others. She creates a warm and supportive space where clients uncover their stories and the patterns that may be holding them back, and experiment with new ways of moving through challenges.
Sabrina has worked with children, teens, and adults in both school, college, and outpatient settings, supporting clients around issues such as anxiety and panic attacks, body image concerns, depression, self-esteem, identity expression, life transitions, and relationship issues. She draws from a relational psychodynamic psychotherapy approach along with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy, focusing on helping clients align with their values, discover new perspectives, and strengthen their sense of agency. She also integrates solution-focused techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) along with mindfulness-based tools, tailoring each session to the unique needs and strengths of her clients. Sabrina believes that therapy is not just about symptom relief but about creating a life that feels meaningful, authentic, and fulfilling.
