Michelle Katz, LCSW received her Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University School of Social Work. She has experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self esteem and familial issues. Michelle utilizes a client centered, relational, and strengths-based approach in her practice and is knowledgeable in CBT, DBT, mindfulness and solution focused therapy. Michelle works with children, adolescents and adults and interventions are tailored to each individual’s needs.

As a psychotherapist at our Upper West Side practice, Michelle’s belief is that everyone deserves to be seen and heard. She creates a warm and inviting space in order to cultivate a strong therapeutic relationship. Michelle believes in being non-judgmental, caring and compassionate in order to allow clients a safe space for exploring complex emotions. Michelle actively partners with her clients to achieve their personal goals.
