Leah Miller, LMSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She spent much of her career managing clinical programs and training clinicians and has clinical experience working with adults, children, and adolescents. Leah utilizes a relational, strengths-based approach to her work. She does this through methodologies such as Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy. Leah has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression and compulsive or manic episodes.

Leah is a Certified Women’s Mental health Specialist and has training in the treatment of Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), Postpartum Depression, Perinatal Loss, Fertility, Menopause, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Body Image and Disordered Eating, and Sexuality.

She is also a Level One Gottman trained Couples Therapist and works with couples struggling with commitment, communication, intimacy, infidelity, premarital counseling and compatibility issues.

Leah’s perspective on therapy is that everyone should have a safe, unbiased space to explore themselves and the environmental factors that they feel impact their lives. Leah strives to build this environment by developing a warm, non-judgmental relationship with her clients. She believes that therapy is a collaborative and empowering process and is committed to helping clients process underlying issues and obtain their goals.
