Emily Wiesemann, LMSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University where she focused on psychodynamic psychotherapy along with DBT, CBT, and mindfulness in order to help adolescents and adults to find a path toward self-compassion and acceptance. Emily works with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and substance use disorder. Emily also has an area of focus in working with gender diverse adolescents and adults, helping to navigate identity.
As a psychotherapist in our Upper West Side therapy group, Emily works to form a caring partnership based on respect, unconditional regard, and nonjudgmental expression. She aims to remain curious and open to every individual while providing her clients the space to empower themselves to find their own path toward self-acceptance, happiness, and empowerment.
