Dana Kind, LMSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University where she focused on evidence-based therapeutic methods. As a psychotherapist at our Upper West Side therapy group, Dana enjoys helping children, pre-adolescents and teens navigate the social and emotional challenges of today’s world. She also works with adults struggling with anxiety and depression, trauma, disordered eating and body image issues, relationship issues, sexual compulsions and complicated grief.

Dana’s approach is relaxed, responsive, collaborative and kind. She uses a strength-based, client-centered approach to uncover the underlying source of the issues and to identify triggers that can lead to troubling thoughts and behaviors. Dana draws from a variety of treatment modalities including relational psychotherapy and behavioral interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to reinforce the connection between thoughts and emotions.
