Carly Berman, LMSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University. She has experience working with a diverse range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, familial issues, life transitions, and trauma. Utilizing an integrative approach and along with relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, she draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based techniques to provide tailored, individualized care. Carly has a passion for working with children, teens, and young adults, but she has experience working with all ages.
As a psychotherapist at our Upper West Side practice, Carly works to create a therapeutic space that is safe, non-judgmental, and supportive in order to best help you explore your feelings and emotions freely. She believes in a strengths-based approach, helping you recognize and leverage your strengths to tackle any challenges.
