Alex Popelsky, LMSW received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. As a psychotherapist at our Upper West Side therapy group, Alex will help you tap into your intuition and increase your self-compassion and curiosity, while helping you experiment with viewing situations from a new lens. Whether you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or trauma, having trouble connecting or communicating in relationships, or struggling to manage stress or change, therapy can help you better understand yourself and meet your own needs. Alex provides a safe space for you to explore patterns and narratives that are holding you back from living a life in which you feel valued, worthy, and aligned with your authentic self. Alex works with children, teens and adults and believes in the importance of treating the holistic self to improve wellness.

Alex has experience treating a wide range of issues such as anxiety/depression, PTSD/trauma, ADHD and low self-esteem. She tailors each session to the specific needs of each client; building on their unique strengths, utilizing relational psychotherapy, CBT, and DBT, and IFS while fostering an authentic therapeutic relationship, which she believes to be the true source of change.
